About The Classes
My training philosophy is based on years of personal experience working out. I've personally reaped the benefits of resistance training - how it can change a body aesthetically as well as functionally. I incorporate this knowledge into every session making sure to target each body part with a cardiovascular component as well.
Each training session focuses on losing fat while increasing muscle mass. I listen to my client's goals and create a program based on those needs. I also offer meal plans /nutritional guidance because without this important component you're just spinning your wheels!
My love of fitness began in the 80’s when I used to work out to Jane Fonda and Denise Austin videotapes in my living room. Then I saw a place called “The Gym” in Dallas, TX that was known for body building. I had no expectations at all. I just wanted to work out.
At first I really didn’t know what I was doing - I just really enjoyed wearing cute workout clothes and the social aspect. Then I noticed my body changing. I kept learning about weight lifting and how combined with eating the right foods, one can totally change body composition.
Over 30 years later, I am still just as in love with fitness as ever and continue to learn. In 2010, after being a stay at home mom for twelve years, I decided to become a personal trainer. Helping people change their lives is incredibly rewarding and challenging. I feel this is my calling. My involvement in the world of fitness ranges from co-managing a gym, to personal training in (one on one and small groups), remote training, competing in figure and physique competitions and teaching meal prepping classes.

Real People. Real Results.
Four years ago October 2015 was one of the worst months of my entire life. I was diagnosed with an incurable progressive lung disease. At first, I had a pity party, then I thought to myself, “What can I control while this disease is in control of my body?” That’s the day I got on the treadmill. I told myself that I would do this every day until I took the weight off that I had gained. Nothing was going to stop me. I also started cutting back on my food portions. About 10 months went by and I lost 40lbs. Then I decided to throw in some strength training - and teach myself. Well....that was a mistake. But I am so glad I made that mistake! That’s the day I met my “Rockstar Trainer,” Lisa Jennings. She saw me in the gym that morning doing lat pulldowns completely wrong. She couldn’t help herself and had to come show me the right way. That’s how she is - she CARES! So I told her I wanted to hire her! It’s been three years October 2019 that I have been training with Lisa, and I am now down 65lbs and went from a size 18 to a size 6. I have never felt better and my breathing is more manageable. I know my disease will always be with me, but it will never take my joy, attitude, or will! I believe the day I met Lisa was a divine intervention. I could not have gone through this journey without her. She saved me not only physically, but mentally! Lisa is my trainer for life!
I began working out with Lisa in August 2018.
I lost approximately 35 pounds prior to that by running 2 miles every morning. When I came to Lisa, the weight training combined with cardio helped me lose an additional 35 pounds, while increasing lean muscle mass.
Her encouragement and direction on healthier eating habits has kept me coming back.
A year later, I have much more stamina, strength, mobility and overall health benefits. Thank you, Lisa for motivating me with your encouragement and pushing me to the next level!
CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY...
My name is Karen & I’m just a normal 54 year old mom & preschool teacher. I have known Lisa for 6 years and she has been my personal trainer for the last 3. What you see is what you get with Lisa-she lives her life for health & nutrition. Anytime I need help to stay on track with diet or training, Lisa is there to answer any questions or to just listen. I have several physical issues (knees/shoulders) & Lisa always modifies my weight training to keep me safe from injuries. To sum up-I can’t imagine not training with Lisa-she is professional & fun all at the same time-there are not many trainers that can make you laugh while you are on the leg press!

After watching my friend Tamara totally transform her body through working with personal trainer, Lisa Jennings, I finally said to her, “I want that for me!” And so my training with Lisa began. I had done cardio all my adult life but had never worked out with weights or even a personal trainer, for that matter. Well, let me tell you, it was no picnic for sure, BUT since that beginning, my energy level has gone up 1000% making me more successful at my job, and my blood pressure has gone down making me healthier, happier, leaner, and lighter! Recently my husband even commented on my booty! Wow! Lisa, you are a gift to me and I thank you for always encouraging me to do my best and never letting me get by with being mediocre. I am confident in saying, my BEST is still to come.
