Four years ago October 2015 was one of the worst months of my entire life. I was diagnosed with an incurable progressive lung disease. At first, I had a pity party, then I thought to myself, “What can I control while this disease is in control of my body?” That’s the day I got on the treadmill. I told myself that I would do this every day until I took the weight off that I had gained. Nothing was going to stop me. I also started cutting back on my food portions. About 10 months went by and I lost 40lbs. Then I decided to throw in some strength training - and teach myself. Well....that was a mistake. But I am so glad I made that mistake! That’s the day I met my “Rockstar Trainer,” Lisa Jennings. She saw me in the gym that morning doing lat pulldowns completely wrong. She couldn’t help herself and had to come show me the right way. That’s how she is - she CARES! So I told her I wanted to hire her! It’s been three years October 2019 that I have been training with Lisa, and I am now down 65lbs and went from a size 18 to a size 6. I have never felt better and my breathing is more manageable. I know my disease will always be with me, but it will never take my joy, attitude, or will! I believe the day I met Lisa was a divine intervention. I could not have gone through this journey without her. She saved me not only physically, but mentally! Lisa is my trainer for life!

I began working out with Lisa in August 2018.
I lost approximately 35 pounds prior to that by running 2 miles every morning. When I came to Lisa, the weight training combined with cardio helped me lose an additional 35 pounds, while increasing lean muscle mass.
Her encouragement and direction on healthier eating habits has kept me coming back.
A year later, I have much more stamina, strength, mobility and overall health benefits. Thank you, Lisa for motivating me with your encouragement and pushing me to the next level!
