My love of fitness began in the 80’s when I used to work out to Jane Fonda and Denise Austin videotapes in my living room. Then I saw a place called “The Gym” in Dallas, TX that was known for body building. I had no expectations at all. I just wanted to work out.
At first I really didn’t know what I was doing - I just really enjoyed wearing cute workout clothes and the social aspect. Then I noticed my body changing. I kept learning about weight lifting and how combined with eating the right foods, one can totally change body composition.
Over 30 years later, I am still just as in love with fitness as ever and continue to learn. In 2010, after being a stay at home mom for twelve years, I decided to become a personal trainer. Helping people change their lives is incredibly rewarding and challenging. I feel this is my calling. My involvement in the world of fitness ranges from co-managing a gym, to personal training in (one on one and small groups), remote training, competing in figure and physique competitions and teaching meal prepping classes.
